Merseyside Pension Fund (MPF) is part of the Local Government Pension Scheme with assets exceeding £8bn making it one of the largest pension funds in the country. The Fund invests across all major asset classes and geographies and is seeking to expand its internal investment function, which is based in Liverpool.
Expressions of interest are sought from individuals with knowledge of financial markets or from those keen to pursue a career in investment management. Full training and development will be available to the successful candidate.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience of public and private markets. Initially, working with our internal investment managers, your principal focus will be on assessing pan European listed equity investments. However, there will also be opportunities to be involved in the evaluation of private market assets and to support the internal investment team in the wide range of activities it undertakes.
Eligible candidates willbe educated to degree level and hold or be willing to study towards a financial qualification. You will be able to analyse and assimilate complex information and present it clearly in verbal or written form.
Your starting grade will be subject to your qualifications and experience.
