We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to work 36 hours per week in Wirral.


The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting those affected by domestic abuse and will work within an experienced team who provide crisis intervention, advice, advocacy and support to male and female victims of domestic abuse who have been assessed as being at high risk of harm. You will work within a multi - agency team to ensure risk is reduced and those affected by domestic abuse live safely.


The successful candidate will hold a caseload and establish positive and proactive working relationships with our partner agencies to increase safety and attend risk focused meetings such as MARAC and MAPPA. Candidates must have a good understanding of the cause and dynamics of domestic and sexual abuse. The impact domestic abuse has on victims and children and ideally a working knowledge of criminal, civil and housing systems. Experience of managing a caseload and providing high quality telephone and face to face crisis intervention and advocacy.
