An opportunity has arisen within the Cemeteries and Crematorium Office based at Landican Cemetery for the post of Cemeteries & Crematorium Administrator to provide a high quality and professional bereavement service to the recently bereaved, providing guidance, advice and support to relatives.  Together with undertaking all administrative duties associated with 9 Wirral Cemeteries, Landican Crematorium and associated memorialisation.


Essential attributes for the role include:


Good interpersonal skills, empathetic listener, sympathetic manner and understanding, to be able to work flexibly in a demanding environment in a positive and productive manner.  The ability to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to the provision of a high-quality customer orientated service.  The ability to accurately input, process and retrieve information using databases, burial and grave registers to assist with the legal obligations of the authority.  To use initiative and to be able to deal with the bereaved.  The post holder will have good numeracy and literacy skills, including letter writing.


Please note this part time post has an alternating and repeating working pattern:


Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning


Week 2 - Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday
