An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional candidate to work across the Liverpool City Region to improve outcomes for Children and Young People. In this role, the LCR Commissioning Programme Coordinator will work collaboratively with the six Commissioning Managers and Senior Officers across the region to drive their vision for transformation. The successful post holder will develop and support the implementation of a wide overarching strategy and action plan to address priority areas 


The successful candidate will:

Develop the next iteration of an overarching strategic and operational programme plan across LCR incorporating and expanding upon current work

Bring a programme management approach to the role reporting back to Commissioners and Senior Officers up to Director level

Map, monitor and demonstrate the impact the work has on LCR sufficiency particularly over the next year

Focus attention on re-invigorating collaborative discussions regarding areas where progress has been limited

Review current arrangements with Commissioners and scope out key pieces of work utilising existing best practice models regarding leaving care/ housing.

Develop a strong joint commissioning approach across LCR to SEND

Consolidate a joined-up Management Information observatory across LCR.

Scan the national horizon to find and learn from best practice, innovation, new opportunities including collaborative funding bids, training, guest speakers and webinars to ensure LCR are always driving ambition for positive and transformative commissioning practice.

 

We are looking for someone who can:

Lead by example, inspiring confidence and trust, tackling and creating a 'can do' culture.

Set and prioritise realistic goals and objectives ensuring sustained improvement is delivered.


Someone who has:

A minimum of 3 years programme management experience and is educated to degree level.

Proven experience of reviewing anddeveloping services, strategies, procedures, and practice in a complex environment

Experience of working with senior officers from a range of agencies, including an ability to co-ordinate inputs from a range of sources to develop strategic priorities


Experience of cross regional working and knowledge of the key issues for Childrens Services is welcomed.


This is a full time, fixed-term 2-year post with a salary of £49,416 to £52,256.
