About the role (information to be obtained from job description - job role purpose and key tasks)
We have a vacancy for an 18 hour job share that would be working the latter part of the week Wednesday afternoon to Friday.
This role is a band D Business Support Officer in the Safeguarding Unit, which is a busy admin team of 13.
The main duties are booking in Initial Child protection Conferences (ICPC's). These are highly sensitive and confidential meetings where you can sometimes read upsetting information.
In this role, you'll develop organisation skills and team working.
You will ensure we have a systematic approach to managing the Conference Diary and confidence that the relevant agencies have been communicated with ensuring data confidentiality at all times.
You will deliver booking Initial Child Protection Conferences to meet set timescales, ensuring invites go out to all required.
About the candidate:
Someone who can effectively communicate with managers and service users.
You'll need to be qualified in Numeracy and Literacy (GCSE level or equivalent experience) and have experience working in the ability to ensure that all data/documentation is handled securely and in strict compliance with data handling principles/policies as per council training. Competent in relevant Microsoft packages, but we will ensure you receive the appropriate training on in house databases.
Ability to converse effectively orally and in writing with colleagues, agencies and members of the public and provide clear advice.
Good time management and ability to prioritise workload to meet the demands of the service.
Your experience should include working with information and providing reports.
Working with a range of databases and information systems.
Experience of Business Administration functions and applications.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Ability to resolve issues proactively
You will need a track record of evidence of general admin office duties and use of full Microsoft Packages.
Above all you will be looking to improve the way we engage with our employees/residents/customers to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.
