Leadership L15 to L21
The Unity Federation is seeking an innovative and visionary Head Teacher to lead and deliver the Governing Body’s ambitious agenda for a model of seamless education provision for 2-11 year olds. The Federation was incorporated in September 2020 and brings together Castleway Primary School and Leasowe Nursery School & Family Centre. We are looking for a Head Teacher who can champion excellence in our staff, inspire our children to be the very best they can be, and promote a safe and caring learning environment in which no child is left behind.
The role will have direct responsibility for the Federation’s primary school provision and executive level oversight of our nursery school and family centre operations. As Head Teacher you will play a key role in developing a curriculum offer that is responsive to the needs of children and families across the local community. You will also lead on a school improvement programme that addresses the challenges and opportunities presented by the coming together of the two schools under a single governance framework. You will work closely with the Governing Body to facilitate the transition the two schools to a single site during the 2021-2022 academic year. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the aims and objectives of the new federation and develop a unique integrated approach to the holistic education of children and young people.
The successful applicant will be appointed at a scale from L15 to L21 appropriate to experience.
All applicants will be considered on the basis of suitability for the post regardless of sex, race or disability. We take our role in ensuring the safeguarding of all our children and staff very seriously and therefore these posts will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
