IT Community Tutor to Delivery EDS (Essential Digital Skills).
Wirral Council Lifelong Learning Service is seeking to recruit a qualified community adult learning tutor to deliver Essential Digital Skills (EDS) courses. The role involves the devising, embedding and teaching of new essential digital skills modules across community groups. The post holder will lead in the development and implementation of a new Essential Digital Skills strategy for the organisation. The applicant must have extensive experience of working with learners of varying abilities and digital experiences drawn from a range of diverse community backgrounds.
The post holder will also work closely with other adult education tutors in advising and supporting the delivery of online programmes and EDS units where appropriate. The role involves working independently and negotiating personal goals and targets whilst reporting to and working closely with appointed curriculum managers.
The successful candidate will have significant evidence of continuing professional development in the sector and will hold a recognised teaching qualification eg PGCE, Cert Ed, PeTTLLS
The post will be on a fulltime (36hr/wk) term time only basis and the salary will be in the pay band £25,481 to £28,672. A contract will initially be awarded from 1st January 2021 to 31st July 2021
