Thornton Hough Primary is a popular and successful school rated Outstanding by Ofsted, located in the idyllic village of Thornton Hough on the Wirral Peninsula.  It is a school providing a unique and exciting place to work with a warm, friendly and fully-inclusive provision serving the local community.  It has a strong ethos of mutual respect, learning creatively and collaboratively whilst challenging all.

The Governing Body wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly-motivated, caring and inspirational Deputy Headteacher who has the skills to build on the school’s current success, with proven leadership experience in primary education at Deputy Head or Senior Management level.  Integral to our development as a school is the recognition that maintaining our high standards requires continuous improvement and innovation.

is an outstanding classroom practitioner as well as a team-player
has a strong sense of commitment towards getting the best outcomes for all children
has successful leadership and management experience within a school
has experience of school evaluation and developing strategies for school improvement that are realistic, timely and suited to the school’s context 
is able to analyse data effectively and identify necessary intervention
has been responsible for driving curriculum development, leading and motivating subject leaders and teachers through this process
has experience of recent Ofsted inspection and a thorough knowledge of the Ofsted framework 
is passionate about values-based teaching and learning 
is dedicated to preserving the outstanding status of the school while encompassing new opportunities and challenges
is committed to embracing our inclusive and nurturing ethos
