Clare Mount Specialist Sports College is a very successful school for pupils with moderate/specific learning difficulties and additional needs including autism. It has 243 pupils on role, aged 11 – 19 years. The school is outstanding in all areas as judged in its most recent Ofsted report and recently gained Autism Accreditation with ‘Advanced Status’. We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and inspirational teacher to teach Humanities in this exceptionally successful school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated practitioner who is qualified and experienced in delivering Humanities lessons and can teach from basic skills level up to a GCSE curriculum. Humanities is a broad and varied subject, in this school covering History, Geography and some RE lessons. You must be fully inclusive and able to differentiate work to be accessible by all pupils in spite of individual difficulties. You will plan and teach activities which ensure a sense of achievement is experienced by every pupil. We are seeking a dedicated individual who is committed to enhancing the life chances of young people with a wide range of learning and social difficulties. Qualified to teach Humanities to KS3 / 4 from Basic Skills to GCSE level.
