We are a very successful secondary school for pupils with autism, moderate and/or specific learning difficulties. We have 243 pupils on role, aged 11 – 19 years. The school is outstanding in all areas, as recognised in its most recent Ofsted report, and has recently gained Autism Accreditation with ‘Advanced Status’ and the ‘Carnegie Mental Health Award - Gold Standard’.
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to deliver an exciting Performing Arts programme to our pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated practitioner to teach Drama up to GCSE and Music in KS3; alongside providing engaging and inclusive extra-curricular activities such as a school choir and a variety of shows throughout the year. You will deliver practical activities which ensure a sense of achievement is experienced by every pupil and benefit from the true sense of fun that our pupils bring in response. We are seeking a dedicated individual who is committed to enhancing the life chances of young people with a wide range of learning and social difficulties by developing their personal and social skills and encouraging them to work towards qualifications when appropriate.
